Happy 4th To Everyone! Guntersville Bass Have Been Eating Well! It’s Been Fun. Being able to catch them shallow and deep . Having these kind of options is great with our floating eel grass issue.

Crappie have been a blast the past few weeks. Numbers and size has been the story. This picture below says it all!

Water Temps 82-85 degrees with clarity of 2-4 feet in areas.

Mid June Gville Report

Guntersville Is Still Showing Why It’s A Special Place. Numbers Are Still Really Good And The Quality Is Good As Well .

Our Captains Have Been Keeping Up With The Bass! The Lures And Depths Have Not Been Disclosed At This Time.

Water Temps 84 water clarity 2-4 feet

Capt. Scott’s last trip landed 40 bass

Capt. Myles Boat has been solid and maybe one that can fit in a shirt pocket.

Capt. Mike is still on some of biggest day in and day out.

Capt. Jim’s boat has had some bass and crappie. And clients from Guam that’s a new one for Guntersville Bass Guides.

Guntersville Fishing Report June 12th 2023. The Fishing Has Been Keeping Up With The Heat Even With All The Fishermen The Last 3 Days With The Big Bass Splash. They had some quality bass brought to the scales all 3 days ! Congrats to everyone that caught em!

Early in the week the bass was active in the mornings and we had a blast catching them, the afternoons they stemmed to be little more picky but the smaller guys bit pretty good. And this weekend it just showed how important experience is on lake Guntersville Capt Mike put our clients on some nice ones.

Our bite has been changing but it keeps leaning towards soft plastics , the interesting part is depth is just relevant to the area of the lake we are fishing.

The best part is still to come ….. Summer time! As the bass start to settle in for the heat either out deep or in some grass they will be in good sized groups.

Water Temp is 79-84 degrees and the clarity is 6-7 feet at least. The water is clear.

Looking Forward to the upcoming trips, should be a good time on the water!

Lake Guntersville June 3rd 2023 Fishing Report

Guntersville Is Fishing Good Still. Even After The Wave Of Fishermen That Came After The Recent Major Tournament That Was Held Here. The Lake Took A Beating & So Did The Fish & They Didn’t Like It! Their Feeding Became Sporadic & Unpredictable, Which Is Frustrating Just Because We Know How Great It Can Be Here.

The Heat Is Coming & Summer Time Patterns are starting to heat up as well. The best part of having a guide service with 5 guides is that all the experience under one roof and that benefits our clients so that they can have great trips.

Water Temps 77-80 degrees and water clarity is 5 feet pretty easy. Shallow bite has been a fun way to catch them using a couple different methods the best advice we can give everyone is to slow down and use your favorite soft plastics & catch some fish.

Crappie Have Been A Blast To Catch . We Have Some Dates Open For Crappie. Capt. Scott has had high numbers (100) on his trips. Fill The Freezer With Some Slabs!

Guntersville Fishing Update. 5/19/23

It’s Been A Good Time Since The Last Post.!! The Size Of Bass Is Impressive. If you Was Around In 2013-2015 It Will Remind You Of Those Times. We are still a year or two from seeing the 7-9 pounders on a daily basis.
Capt. Myles had a phenomenal week with his returning clients ( yes they booked him all week ) the young angler can really catch them you will see in pics below.
Capt. Mike not to be outdone put Karen on a bass of a life time an 8lb 2oz Guntersville Bass, his clients have been doing very well with quality bass.

James & Capt. Jim Fished the Foodland Tournament they had 13.99lbs (3 fish limit) and took 2nd place and for guided trips the bass have been playing pretty fair even a big old smallmouth. Check out all the pics below.

The bass have been shallow to deep eating soft plastics to power fishing lures, it’s all on which area of the lake you’re fishing. One thing is for sure you’ll be around them with opportunities to catching a bass of a lifetime.

Guntersville Fishing 5.4.23

Lake Guntersville Has Been Fishing Extremely Well This Year (give or take a few bad days ) The Weather Has Been Mild So Far And Keeping The Water Temps Below 70 Degrees and that has effected the Shad spawn so far. Maybe that’ll happen still but I’m not counting on it .

We had a young angler break his personal best it weighed 8lbs 8oz

The Bass are doing a lot of different things, we have most of them post spawn and still a good many spawning, the bream are on bed and there are some nice bass around the bream beds. The offshore bite is there but it’s just not totally wide open yet.

The Crappie Have Been Biting Good The Most Recent Trip (yesterday) Is Pictured Below.

James & Capt Jim fished the Capt. D’s tournament and finished 5th with 21-09lbs out of 240+ boats.

Capts Myles,Mike,Phillip, & Scott have had some awesome days. I feel like to have success at anything you have to have the right people & I can say these guys I just mention are hands down the best . They put our clients on fish day in and day out. The years of experience we have here is priceless.

Guntersville Bass Report 4.9.23

It’s Been A Great Week Here On Guntersville! The weather has started to get right and the bass appreciated it but not as much as our clients did. Seen a Personal Best Broken Twice In One Day, 40,50,60 bass days, crappie limits, and some giant striped bass!

Personal Best Bass was caught twice with-in minutes for this young Minnesota angler while fishing with Capt.Scott they also had great numbers all 3 days they spent together. Slipped in a Crappie trip this week as well, had a limit pretty quick and some slabs for the freezer.

Numbers let’s talk about Capt. Phillips two days with this couple from New Jersey! 101 Bass this was exactly what they needed ! Just look at their catch there was some quality bass caught.

Green Bass in the morning to Striped ones in the afternoon Capt. Myles has been getting high numbers of largemouth bass mixing in some quality as well then he has been going after some big striped bass in the afternoons this is a new service for Guntersville Bass Guides it will go well with our Big Bass Mentality. Capt.Myles has added airport shuttle to his list of services. His clients flew into the Guntersville airport where picked them up and brought them back after their fishing trip.

Capt. Mike has been steady with clients catching quality bass and providing the best trip possible. We think he has the bass named with all his time on the water and knowing when to make that move to keep putting fish in the boat.

Capt.Jim’s clients had some pretty good size bass to go with their numbers. They had many over 4lbs and one 6 and a half man it was just a fun week watching them reel them bass in. Want to wish my Dad (Steve) a HAPPY BIRTHDAY 69 Years Young April 9th

Water Temps have been 62-68 this week and water clarity is a good 3 foot

Bass are starting to lock on and they are still coming everyday.

We are catching majority of our bass dragging baits. Also had some eat Topwater baits. With the post spawn approaching quickly the topwater action should be great and offshore bite will be here before you know it . May June and July are fun times to be on Guntersville and if you have new electronics or new boat and would like to learn how to locate offshore bass then we do offer a class for that as well. Madness Of March 3/23

Had A Solid Week. With Some Guntersville Pre Spawn Bass. Water Temps Are Warming Up Once Again And Things Will Be Very Interesting Next Week For Sure!

Temp 55-58 degrees and water has 2-3ft visibility

Fred from New Jersey caught his first largemouth and it was a good one. And Zack had a dang good day he even let me fish with him, we had a five good ones and about 20 others that was fun to catch . ( thanks for letting me fish Zack )

Guntersville Bass n Crappie March Cold Front

Here We Are After One Of The Nastiest Cold Fronts You Could Possible Have. With 3 Weeks Of Nice Weather ( 70s & 80s degrees ) We Get Slammed With Low 30s & Wind. All the progress of the spawn has been put on hold, at least for a few more days. This week we are expected to see temps in the high 70s so things will start to get moving back in the right direction.

Fishing had gotten tough with a lot of the bigger ones being difficult to catch our clients have tricked a couple into biting.

Water temps 54-57 in most parts right now Water clarity is 2-3 foot and some areas are stained from this high winds

Crappie! The crappie didn’t care about the weather they bit good and some pretty dang big ones too. ( see pics below ) It’s been fun and the slabs fill up a freezer pretty good too! Client caught a 2.30lb Crappie!
