With the cooler temps the bass really seemed to really like it. Guntersville seems to be fishing really good, that is if your where they are. Seems to me timing is everything and I mean everything. From what I am seeing is the bass are getting very pressured to the point they are moving out of an area by the hour, and you can tell if you are fishing an area that just had the tar beat out of it, you’ll get some bumps and maybe a fish or two then its nothing. So what does this mean? Make sure you have plenty of gas in your skiff, at least till the fishing pressure drops and they stop getting their heads beat in. We seen some really nice bass this week some days we had several in one spot and other days it was one here one here and mix in the cookie cutters for fun. Had some 50 fish days this past week and some lighter days but the size was nice. The Deep Bite still seems to be the most consistent with better quality. The water temps have come down to 76 and clarity well that depends where the wind is blowing.
The Mayflies are hatching so if you like to catch some Bream nows a good time to do it and get some young anglers catching.
Well Bassmaster will be on the lake this week and I’m sure they’ll have a great tournament and we will see more boats following these guys around ( then us LOL ) all week so be careful out there and look out for other boats.
Hats off to our guide Jeff he had one of those days this week where our clients just smashed them.
Heres Some Pics… Enjoy
