No doubt this is the hottest summer we have had in a couple of years and its like the bass are loving the heat.
Some days they are thumping the bait so hard it startles you and the next day you can hardly tell you have a bite. But one thing is for sure is the big ones are biting 1st then the little guys step up to keep the action going. Been focusing on grass edges that are next to deep water and we have added a new bait this week that has helped put some fish in the boat and its the NetBait B-Bug in Green Pumpkin the NetBat C-Mac big worm is still the big fish producer and 4×4 Heavy Hitter is still getting quality bites. Water Temp is staying in the mid 80s to low 90s and the grass is topping out on the river and in some creeks the flip bite should only get better as the summer goes on.
Booking for August and if July is any indication on how good the fishing is then August should be fun..
Congratulations to these guys they each caught their personal best. |
