It seems the Big G took my previous comments to heart, as it put on a dazzling display for our clients, offering up an impressive selection of bass, including some sizeable specimens. The improvement in weather conditions also played a part, invigorating the fish to the point where their bites were forceful enough to challenge our grip on the rods.
We experienced a minor cold front that momentarily slowed them down, but fortunately, it did not impact their size significantly. Once the cold weather subsided, they promptly resumed their normal feeding habits. Additionally, it was apparent that some had begun the nesting process as suggested by the condition of their tails.
TVA is doing a remarkable job at keeping the lake low, I believe that is helping keep the bass from going full blown spawn. I’d take a guess around mid April the trips will be pretty wild with the lake coming up to full pool things will happening.
Water Temps have moved in the right direction. They struggled to get over 60 then once they got above it they’ve been 62-64 degrees and the water has 2-3 feet visibility
Mike Booked end his day with two over 5 lbs
Ted Caught A 6 pounder and his Son caught a good one ( we didn’t weigh it ) guessing it was around 4 pounds
Warren and his granddaughter caught a bunch and lost a few too !
Here’s the Rest.. I did get to fish a little this week with Mike and on Easter my client had to cancel due to food poisoning so I went solo till Gary got there to fish for a few hours.
