September On Lake Guntersville Has Been Fun! Water Temps Are Slowly Dropping, The Days Are Comfortable, & The Big Bass Have Been Biting! That’s Is If You Happen To Be Fishing Gal. The Ladies Have Been Getting The Big Bits This Month!
Water Temps are between 76-79 and clarity has been 2-3 feet
Several ways to catch them right now so if one way isn’t working we just cycle through the techniques till they start to fire up. I think some of that is from the fluctuating water levels.
The lake is really healthy right now. Even though the eelgrass is a pain in the butt, it is protecting a lot of these fish and in return I think that’s why the bite has been consistent all year. It is also responsible for all the little fish because we have had some really good spawns last few years. And now we have good Hydrilla, which we have not had in several years so that leads to the next part. The frog fishing is starting to get really good. We’ve had four and five pounders doing somersaults over are frogs. So I think if we get some colder days and nights the frog bite will really turn on.
